On Wednesday, May 18th Nathan Decker, Director of eCommerce at evo, and Andrew Pearson, VP, Marketing at Windsor Circle, teamed up to present at session at IBM Amplify 2016. evo was Windsor Circle's sixth client, and has grown tremendously since they began their journey with us.
Andrew kicked off the session by laying the foundation of how predictive marketing encompasses three of Gartner's Top Five Key Trends
Windsor Circle is leading the pack among predictive marketing platforms, which combined have raised over $123 million in venture funding.
Nathan from evo explained their stages of email marketing, from their scrappy homegrown roots using manual methods, to their current state of using cloud-based and automated solutions with IBM Marketing Cloud and Windsor Circle. From initialization - which was just their first steps of growing their list and sending frequently, then optimization - focusing on content and engagement to retention automation - using data to drive marketing campaigns, and ultimately, conversions.
One of their biggest challenges was to bridge the data and technology gaps, they were able to connect the right data (using Windsor Circle) into IBM Marketing Cloud to then power up retention automation and send their campaigns into overdrive. Nathan discussed effective campaigns such as:
- Educational Series
- How-to Videos
- Post-purchase Follow-up Series
- Cart Abandonment
and how they drive some great engagement.
Andrew wrapped up the presentation with some tactics on how to automate campaigns to capture various customer personas, like the ones you might see on a cool little interactive game.
